Expectations Relocating I am willing to reloate within continental USA and Canada. I would be interested in a position in a mid-sized city that has access to good and reliable health care and an established social sturcture so that I could become involved in my new community with ease. I am not interested in working the heart of a large city, such as New York, Los Angeles or Chicago, but would be interested in a position that is located in a more suburban area of these cities. I am not interested in a smaller town which provides very limited social interaction and health care facilities. I would appreciate financial assistance from a new employer should relocation be required. Benefits Benefits that I am interested in are as follows: Environment I am looking to work for a company that provides a professional by casual and easy going environment. I would prefer a company/team that is less formal. I am looking for a position on a team of people that are friendly. I want to work on a team were people co-operate with each other and help each other. I want to be able to decide to grab a coffee fell comportable inviting someone to go with me. I want to be able to know the people I am working with and not just be part of a large anonymous pool of programmers that work on projects. I want to be able to get to know my co-workers in day to day activities as opposed to specifically project by project. Company I am looking for a company who cares about their staff, beyond the Human Resources department. I'd like to be able to feel confident in the company I work for, knowing that they take care of their employees. I am not interested in a company that considers it's staff to be anything but people. I want to work for a company that brings it's staff together, provides initiative and is interested in high moral. I want to work for a company that helps its employees. I'd like to work for someone and not just be another number. I'm not all that concerned about company size because small companies can have the same problems as larger companies in the way employees are treated. Management Qualities I would like in my immediate management: Salary My salary expectations vary depending primarily on the position, the duties, the location and other smaller factors. Travel I am willing to travel for a position, but generally only in minimal amounts (25% or less). For long distance travel, I would be interested in being placed at one location for a set period of time before I return home. For example, being on a client's site for one week and and home for the remainder of the month. For local travel, I would be more open to spending more time at a client's site as long as I would be able to come home at night. The exception would be a long term placement at another location (ie: 3-6 month project). I would be interested in that on specific terms, including the moving of a small set amount of belongings with me and having a location where I would have access to kitchen facilities, amoungst others. | Return Home | |
